Yes, ghia seats are wider, not the same as Beetle. I also don't know if that is a complete thing already made up - or you have to put together. I would think any upholstery shop would have no problem doing this. It's amazing how firm they are now - especially the passenger side. My guy fortified the seats with extra springs he removed from 2 spare seats but could have just as easily done it with new springs and it would be hard to tell the difference. Since you are using new covers that will not be a problem. I just had this done with my car but was limited by how taunt he could get the driver's seat by the condition of the original material. I also swapped the seat bottom spring assemblies between driver and passenger sides, as all the broken springs were on the drivers seat. ![]() Zig-Zag springs for the seat back and the coils for the bottom. so for the seat back they will either have to be fixed, replaced or a whole seat back replaced. for the seat back i dont think the springs separate from the frame (at least they didnt on my 71). the springs should separate from the base frame. they are going to be the best your going to find because the drivers side is always the side with the most use.
